Invites all members and friends of Ginter Park UMC to join us on a trip to Riverside Dinner Theater on Friday, Dec. 6 to enjoy a wonderful lunch and the Christmas Spectacular show. Arrive at the church at 9:30 a.m. to depart by van at 9:45 a.m. The cost of the trip is $60.00. Please make reservations asap but no later than Sunday, November 24. Make checks payable to Ginter Park UMC and note: G.E.M.S. in the memo line and give check to Roy or Beth Quist. Call Roy or Beth to reserve (804-266-3164) or the church office. This will take the place of our regular November meeting. We will return to the church at approximately 5:45 p.m.

We have a couple of vacancies in our crucifer and acolyte program for the traditional service. Acolytes are usually children and teens who are tall enough to reach the candles on the altar. Crucifers are usually teens and adults who can carry the processional cross. If you have any interest in participating in this program, please contact Horace Ford or call the church office at 262-8651.

Thank you for your support of our food pantry. We are now serving approximately 60 to 70 families each week. For the past few months, we have been receiving large deliveries of USDA food. We continue to need paper grocery bags with handles and plastic bags. We also need canned tuna, tea bags, soap bars and baby/toddler diapers. Donations may be left outside of the food pantry door (Burchette Room) on the first floor as you come in from the parking lot.

Part of our Veterans Ministry is the display in recognition and gratitude of our past and present Veterans located in our Church Parlor from Nov. 3 through Nov. 17. If you are a Veteran, active service member and/or family of someone serving or has served, or know someone serving, Mary Swing would like to talk with you about the expansion of our Veterans Ministry.

We would like to collect as many UNUSED Christmas Cards as we can by Sunday, November 24th. The Shut-ins will receive the cards plus a box of cookies for Christmas. Please contact Mary Swing for more information.

November 24th following both services we will be decorating for Advent and Christmas. Please plan to stay and help. This does not take very long, but it is a big job. We will decorate both the Sanctuary and the Social Hall.
