OUR FOOD PANTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP!

We have recently experienced an increase in the number of people who are visiting our food pantry on Wednesday mornings to obtain food.  During April, we served an average of 192 households (530 individuals) each week.  We are in need of additional money to purchase food and other supplies such as toilet tissue and soap.  We will be collecting money, canned goods (especially spaghetti sauce), soap and toilet tissue for the next several weeks to help fill in the gaps!  Please consider volunteering during the summer as many of our regular volunteers will be on vacation.

This Summer, we anticipate that many families will visit the food pantry with their children.  We would like to have something available to give to these children.  Therefore, if you could purchase children's books that school age children could take home to read or picture or coloring books and crayons to give to pre-school children, that would be greatly appreciated.  There will be donation receptacles in the Narthex, Outside the Office and downstairs in front of the Social Hall.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

UMCOR SYRIA AND TURKEY RELIEF:

Please join UMCOR in prayer for the many people affected by these devastating earthquakes, including the rescue crews seeking survivors and those caring for the injured and displaced. Support relief and recovery efforts for this and other international disasters by donating to Advance # 982450. Please put “SYRIA/TURKEY” on your check or envelope when making offerings. Further information can be found at https://umcmission.org/news-statements/umcor-response-to-earthquakes-in-turkey-and-syria/

AFGHAN REFUGEES IN NEED:

Our Afghan refugees have moved and any monetary donations will be greatly appreciated.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO SUPPORT UKRAINE

Our prayers are constant and urgent for the Ukrainian people. The best way to provide financial support is to contribute through the Global Ministries Advance for Eurasia and designate your gift for Ukrainian Assistance. Please put “Ukrainian Assistance” on your check or envelope when you make offerings.   So far we have donated $1,575!  Let’s keep it up!

DID YOU KNOW THAT....

If you shop at Kroger and you sign up through a digital account and mark Ginter Park United Methodist Church as your non profit organization we will receive a percentage of your total bill. Every little bit counts!
