COVID SAFETY
As the COVID situation appears to be improving, the Church Council decided to lift our churchwide mask mandate on April 3rd while still encouraging anyone entering the building to wear a mask if they feel it is necessary for their health and safety. We also encourage members and visitors to continue the practice of safe social distancing. The church will provide K95 masks upon request. We will continue to monitor the situation and revise this decision if it is necessary.
LECTORS, CRUCIFERS, ACOLYTES NEEDED:
If you would like to volunteer to read the scripture or serve as crucifers or acolytes during the 11:00 a.m. worship service please put your name on the calendar located outside the Church Office. We kindly ask you to sign up no more than once a month so that we have diverse voices and presence in worship.
AFGHAN REFUGEE IN NEED:
Laundry Detergent, Toilet Papers, Napkins, Toiletries, Diapers (size 5), Girls’ Shoes (size 6), Girls’ Shoes (size 7), Boys’ Shoes (size 7), Gift cards – Visa, Food Lion, Target, Walmart, Uber, Lyft. Donations are welcome. Please put “Refugee Fund” on your check or envelope when you make offerings.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO SUPPORT UKRAINE
Our prayers are constant and urgent for the Ukrainian people. Many of you have asked about the ways to help the people of Ukraine and to support our United Methodist witness in Ukraine. Bishop Khegay in Eurasia said that the best way to provide financial support is to contribute through the Global Ministries Advance for Eurasia and designate your gift for Ukrainian Assistance. Please put “Ukrainian Assistance” on your check or envelope when you make offerings. We will send the fund to Eurasia Advance.
SOFTBALL PLAYERS NEEDED:
Interested in playing Church Softball? Anyone age 18+ is invited to join our team! The season begins the 2nd week of April. Games are typically Monday nights at the Quiaccosin fields. Please contact Chris Otto if you are interested (804) 564-7853
GPUMC COVID-19 RESPONSE
As COVID-19 cases surge, Ginter Park United Methodist Church is now requiring everyone over two years of age whether fully vaccinated or not to wear a mask that covers both the mouth and nose in the church building. Disposable masks will be available to anyone that needs one. We will continue to do what is necessary to protect everyone’s health. Thank you for your cooperation!
FOOD PANTRY REPORT:
Your food pantry served an average of 100+ households each week. As always, volunteers are welcome. Paper grocery bags with handles are needed as are donations of dry cereal.

- February expenses: $23,380
NEEDED:
Crew length warm socks, gloves and stocking caps for both men and women. The Dollar Tree has great ones in stock right now. Please drop off your donations to the Church Office.
