The First Miracle


Unloading cots on Saturday, January 26th at 11 a.m., any breakfast food, lunches for Saturday, Feb. 2nd, 200 bottled waters, Servers for dinners every night (6:30 p.m.), and cot load out on Feb. 2nd at 10 a.m.


Your Food Pantry and Clothes Closet continues to serve those in need in our community. We are in need of Paper Grocery Bags with handles, food, and Winter Coats – All donations may be left outside of the Food Pantry Room on the first floor of the Educational Building. Thank you for your support of these mission opportunities.


  • United Methodist Day at General Assembly Thursday, January 31. Contact Sarah Lynn Croll if interested.
  • Tuesday, January 29, 10:00am. UMW will pack lunches to be given out on Wednesday to CARITAS guests. UMW will also provide breakfast and dinner one day.
  • Tuesday, February 5, 10:00am meeting followed by program. Bring sandwich. Dessert and drink provided.
  • Saturday, February 9, Hearts for Justice Program at Welborne UMC. Registration and refreshments 9:30-10:15am. Program 10:15-11:30am "Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies. Why the Racial Disparities in Birth Outcomes?"


Confirmation Classes will begin on Sunday February 3 during the 11 a.m. service and will take place for 10 weeks. Please contact Anne Durrett for more information. There will be a Confirmation Retreat on February 9th & 10th to the Shenandoah Mountains. Departure time will be 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 9th and the group will return on Sunday, February 10th at 2 p.m. Please sign up with Anne Durrett.


Feb. 3rd is Souper Bowl Sunday. Please bring in cans of soup or other non-perishable food items for our food pantry! Then, right after church, enjoy a light lunch and a rousing rematch of the Orange & Blue Flag football teams! Everyone, no matter your age, can play on either team! Can’t play football? We need YOU for the cheering section! It’s a SOUPer fun day for everyone!
