PUMPKIN PATCH VOLUNTEERS
Sunday, November 10th at 12:30 p.m.: Pumpkin Patch volunteer staff are invited to a “Thank you” luncheon after Church in the Social Hall!
CRUCIFER AND ACOLYTES
We have a couple of vacancies in our crucifer and acolyte program for the traditional service. Acolytes are usually children and teens who are tall enough to reach the candles on the altar. Crucifers are usually teens and adults who can carry the processional cross. If you have any interest in participating in this program, please contact Horace Ford or call the church office at 262-8651.
We continue to need paper grocery bags with handles and plastic bags. We also need canned tuna, soap bars and baby/toddler diapers. Donations may be left outside of the Food Pantry door (Burchette Room) on the first floor as you come in from the parking lot. Volunteers are, of course, always welcome. Come and see what we are doing. The Food Pantry and Clothes Closet are open each Wednesday from 10 AM until Noon.
On Wednesday, November 13, 2019 * Finance Mtg 6:00 p.m., Church Council 7:00 p.m.
COMMUNITY YARD SALES
Thank you to all our volunteers, our staff, vendors, and shoppers who helped. Each of you has been God’s blessing before, during, and after all of our Community Yard Sales. Your prayers, hard work, enthusiasm, and time have touched my heart. You have made Community Yard Sales the successes they have been this year. Each of you has been a joy with which to serve in this ministry.
Part of our Veterans Ministry is the display in recognition and gratitude of our past and present Veterans located in our Church Parlor from Nov. 3 through Nov. 17. If you are a Veteran, active service member and/or family of someone serving or has served, or know someone serving, Mary Swing would like to talk with you about the expansion of our Veterans Ministry.
CARITAS SUPPLY COLLECTION
CARITAS will be staying with us the week of February 1 – 8, 2020. We are in need of the following items: paper plates, toilet tissue, bottled water, juice and lemonade, snacks, coffee, tea, paper towels, breakfast bars. Items can be left in the Church Office.
CHRISTMAS CARDS NEEDED
We would like to collect as many UNUSED Christmas Cards as we can by Sunday, November 24th. The Shut-ins will receive the cards plus a box of cookies for Christmas. Please contact Mary Swing for more information.
