UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

The UMW will meet Thursday December 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Scott Woolford room. All women are invited to attend for an afternoon of fellowship, worship, and an interesting program. We will also have Sunday afternoon meetings soon after the new year for women who are unable to attend the afternoon meetings. We hope you will join us!

FOOD PANTRY

Thank you for your support of our food pantry. We have seen an increase in the number of people we are now serving. There were 100 family units served on November 6 and 81 on November 13. Thankfully, we are well-stocked with USDA food. We continue to need paper grocery bags with handles and plastic bags. We also need canned tuna, canned chicken, tea bags, soap bars and baby/toddler diapers. Donations may be left outside of the food pantry door (Burchette Room) on the first floor as you come in from the parking lot.

THANKSGIVING ENVELOPES

If you would like to consider giving an offering please use the envelopes provided.

ANIMAL ANGEL TREE

Your willingness to provide dog food and cat food (crunchies and canned), treats and toys (no feathers on the cat toys, please), has been gratefully received by the workers. Even gently used towels, blankets and pet beds allow the RAC to stretch their budget and get through the winter. Please consider giving needed items by placing them under the Animal Christmas Tree located in the Social Hall. From Sunday, Dec. 3 to Dec. 29 space will be available to leave your presents for the “visitors” at RAC until they find their “forever” homes Thank you so much for sharing what you can with these little guys. An extra donation box will be outside the Sanctuary in the office hallway.

ADVENT WREATH LIGHTERS NEEDED

We invite readers for the lighting of the Advent Wreath in both worship services. Please let the Church Office know if you and/or your family are interested in participating.
