GPUMC SOFTBALL TEAM

Come support the Church Softball game this Tuesday, April 17th at 7p.m. and 7:50 p.m. for two games located at Henderson Field #2.

GEMS and Friends

will hold their April meeting on Tuesday, April 17. Our program will be a trip to downtown to eat dinner at Comfort (restaurant). Last month Comfort started donating 100% of their net profits to Feed More which is Central Virginia’s core hunger-relief organization dedicated to providing our neighbors who face hunger with one of the most basic necessities:  nourishment.  You will enjoy Comfort’s wonderful staff and great food.  Co-owners Michele Jones and Jason Alley will talk about what they are doing and why.  We hope that a representative of Feed More will join us.  Because Comfort only serves dinner, we will meet at the church no later than 4:45 p.m. to head downtown in the church van and a few cars if needed.  Because of seating, please call Roy or Beth Quist (266-3164) by noon on Monday, April 16thto let us know you are planning to attend (VERY helpful to call but not a requirement).  Cost:  $10 in advance to GPUMC for your entrée and transportation.  You pay for your beverage and anything else you may want.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FUND

Thank you so much to everyone who has given.  Our Capital Campaign Fund, or 100th Anniversary Fund as it is also known, is continuing because we have undertaken to complete the repair of our church organ. We have already had some work done on the organ console, but still need repairs to the Great Chamber: $23,435; the Choir Chamber: $19,592 and the Swell Chamber: $33,320 for a total of $76,347.  Please continue your support as you contribute to this Fund. Thank you for your amazing generosity thus far.  To date, we have raised $166,690 on our way to $300,000.

100th ANNIVERSARY NOTECARDS AND ENVELOPES

Full color picture notecards with envelopes and blank interiors for your personal notes or messages are available.  Each packet of 10 notecards with envelopes tied with a green ribbon will be $10.
